we won soccer on sat. we beat the team coming first. now at the end of the regular season, we have finished second. im happy enough with that. i enjoy playing against kenthurst. always a hard, competitive game. and now that we've beaten them, we can go into the finals knowing we have beaten the other teams that will be there. winning is a bonus tho. im just really enjoying playing at the moment. lets me release a whole lotta frustration.
saw some great bands at goredofest on sat night.
switchblade - impressive. very solid set. i bought a shirt and a cd. nuff said.
flesh mechanic - not their best night i dare say, but you cant miss their potential. look forward to seeing them again when the singer doesnt have a cold. she belted the tunes out anyways. and what a fox.
infernal method - best on the night for me. bit more diverse than some.
daysend - very impressive, but lacking something. maybe still hung over from their us tour. maybe it was just a bad mix. technically brilliant, but a lil repetitive in parts. and one very familiar guitarist from days gone by. ha.
the amenta - knew nothing about them going in. very tight and professional, but kinda boring. bit of an anti-climax. shouldve left and gone over to the excelsior to catch ecm. nevermind.
cremorne maccas. always amusing.
rabbitohs beat cowboys
swans beat demons
crows beat bulldogs
happy with that.

she does fill some gaps sometimes that dont really need a vocal line. but on the whole, i dig her voice. and yeah, she rocks.
i saw andrew (friend of gypsy?) at the gaelic club. hes playing in a band called daysend now.
